Administrative Assistant

 

In search of a detail-oriented mission-minded individual to support a faith-based nonprofit that caters to vulnerable single moms. The Administrative Assistant serves as a primary point of contact for the organization and must exhibit our core values: we act Christ-like, we preserve dignity, we love, and we are courageous. This position also facilitates an organized and predictable environment for the program participants so we can accomplish our mission of empowering single mothers in their pursuit of a new beginning.

 

The ideal candidate is flexible and self-directed and can handle a wide variety of job duties. This position is in person for up to 25 hours per week, Monday-Thursday. Pay is $16-18/hour.

 

About Us:

The Genesis Project of Northern Colorado accomplishes our mission by providing furnished apartments, family advocacy, life skills training, and therapy to single-mom families.  Our home in downtown Greeley can house up to 6 women and their children at a time. We are donor-funded and rely heavily on volunteers to perform vital roles in running our program. 


 

Job Description:

  • Schedule and coordinate volunteer teachers, maintenance workers, and babysitters

  • Manage incoming email, website, and phone communications 

  • Monitor and reconcile program calendar

  • Systems management of data, contacts, documents and files

  • Maintain expense report for program debit card purchases

  • Coordinate contractors and schedule Genesis house maintenance

  • Supply procurement and inventory management

  • Conduct onboarding of program participants

  • Manage Genesis Project of Northern Colorado social media accounts

  • Assist with seasonal fundraising events and activities


 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant work or volunteer experience

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Ability to take initiative, multi-task, be a team player, and adapt to changing priorities

  • Working knowledge of Google Office suite, including Google calendar 

  • Ability to access a wide range of sources for information

  • Willingness to reach out to partner agencies via phone for information and scheduling

  • Ability to climb 3 flights of stairs and perform occasional heavy lifting

  • Preferred: experience with Canva, Facebook Meta Suite and CRM data management

  • Ability to handle sensitive information with compassion and confidentiality
