Program Qualifications
At Genesis Project of Northern Colorado, we offer assistance to women in life's toughest situations who are ready to embark on a journey of transformation. Our residence program is a foundation for a new beginning, providing support, guidance, and the resources needed to rebuild and empower. Our program is not a temporary or emergency shelter. The approval process can take up to three weeks, and we currently have a waitlist for new residents.

Resident Challenges
Our program is tailored to assist single mothers facing a variety of challenges including but not limited to:

Living at or below the poverty level

Experiencing homelessness

Unemployed or underemployed

Escaping abusive relationships

Having a partner incarcerated long-term

Seeking reunification with children in foster care in Weld County

Past substance abuse

Resident Qualities
To join our program, we look for specific qualities that we believe are key to thriving in our community and achieving lasting change:

A genuine desire to grow and change

Ability to live cooperatively with others

Having children 10 years or younger (including pregnancies)

Willingness to engage in therapy

Commitment to participate in life-skills classes
-
Aspiration for economic self-sufficiency

Willingness to embrace a single lifestyle during the program

Adherence to alcohol, tobacco, vape, and marijuana-free standards
-
Openness to a faith-based Christian environment
-
Established sobriety of at least 3 months
